As a key team member at Prahran Pharmacy until March 2025, Liz was instrumental in managing medicinal cannabis operations — overseeing dispensing and ordering, stock control, liaising closely with prescribers and clinic staff, and supporting patients with treatment access and care. She also worked directly with Industry Representatives, ensuring her patients always had access to the latest in vaporizer accessories and product innovations. 

Her dedication to ongoing education saw her attending major conferences, building strong networks within the sector and deepening her expertise. Through this, Liz discovered a true passion for education — empowering patients through personalised care plans and supporting them to achieve their treatment goals. For many, this medicine was life-changing.

Driven to make a broader impact, Liz took the next step in her career by joining Tilray — a global leader in medicinal cannabis operating in over 20 countries and active in Australia since 2016. At Tilray, Liz focuses on expanding education and access across Victoria, working with pharmacies and healthcare professionals to strengthen their understanding of cannabinoid-based medicines.

Her work supports Tilray’s broader mission, which includes supplying to major Australian hospitals for paediatric epilepsy, backing clinical research, and reaching over 70,000 patients nationally.

Dr Ashleigh Osborne (BMHlthSc, Hons I, PhD) has been immersed in cannabinoid science since 2013 — well before medicinal cannabis was legalised in Australia.

Her journey began with Honours research investigating the endocannabinoid system in the brain, followed by a groundbreaking PhD focused on the therapeutic potential of CBD in neurodevelopmental disorders.

Her thesis earned the prestigious Examiners’ Commendation for Outstanding Thesis and has since been cited over 500 times in international scientific journals. 📚💡

Ashleigh’s research has taken centre stage at conferences and been featured across major media platforms. She's played a key role in mentoring the next generation of researchers, supervising student projects and lecturing in medical and health sciences.

After completing her PhD in 2019, she made the leap into the pharmaceutical industry — first in neuroscience, then into medicinal cannabis.

She joined a global cannabis company in 2020 as a Medical Science Liaison, quickly rising to lead the Medical Affairs team across Australia.

In 2024, Dr Osborne took on a new chapter as National Medical Lead at Medigrowthan Australian-owned cannabis biotech at the forefront of cannabinoid research and development. 🌿⚗️

At Medigrowth, Dr Ash's responsible for medical education and driving clinical research partnerships with institutions like Deakin University, where she also holds an Affiliate Lecturer position. This experience led Steve to create a Facebook group to help others navigate the cannabis space, which quickly grew. When medical cannabis became legal, Steve launched Cannareviews, a platform now used by over 100,000 patients.

What many don’t realize is how much time and effort Steve has poured into Cannareviews, a platform he built to help patients. His work is a true labor of love. 💚
